Heritage of system vs dependence on human infallibility

(Anonymous)
Tsk, tsk, which is a more stable and self-correcting system? Have a system of checks and counter-checks vs dependence on human infallibility.

J's reasoning that "the president has been consulted on that and he supports it" cuts no ice. Who voted for this current so-called "elected" president? Isn't he also nominated by the Executive whose influence is being debated on the current issue?

I'm outta here, asap. Hope the crash does not come before I exit.

Re: Heritage of system vs dependence on human infallibility

Elected President is to serve as check and balance ok! As long as he doesn't try to check the reserves.

Don't forget, also doesn't try to check those who are going to hang.

Re: Heritage of system vs dependence on human infallibility

Hang ones still ok lah. Just don't check the number of strokes in caning.
